Nomadic UK Christmas Advert 2024
Following our successful win of the Nomadic UK Christmas Ad competition, Gloucestershire Nightstop have been working with Nomadic UK and volunteers to film and prepare a professional Christmas Ad campaign, highlighting the amazing volunteers who support young people facing homelessness across the county!
Nomadic UK works with a range of clients to produce compelling visual content (photos, video, drone and animations) to help them achieve their marketing goals, from local sole traders, small to medium enterprises all the way up to global brands like Renishaw, The O2 Arena, Sainsbury’s and John Lewis.
The aim of the competition is to help Gloucestershire charities overcome potential budget constraints to produce TV-quality content, with a view to raising awareness of their services at what is a crucial time for the sector.
We entered the competition with an idea of placing our volunteer hosts front and centre, aiming to express how people across our county, carry out heroic acts everyday by opening their homes to young people facing homelessness, and we were honoured to be selected by the independent judging panel made up of people across sectors both voluntary and private, including Renshaw, Malvern College, The Friendship Cafe, So Glos, and Howden Insurance
“Howden is very much part of the community we’re embedded in, which is why we were eager to be on the judging panel for this year’s charity video, helping Gloucestershire Nightstop shine a light on some of the issues being faced by young people in our county.” Catherine Grayson, Howden Insurance

After hearing about the competition, Gloucestershire Nightstop were invited to talk to Jon Smith on the BBC Radio Gloucestershire breakfast programme to share the good news and talk about the filming that was going on with Nomadic UK that day and our amazing volunteers who agreed to appear in the ad! That’s Hosts Janine Bennett and George Bennett, Elaine Pearson, Jo Higgens, Flynn Henwood, Larna Slattery and Naomi Cambridge! Thank you so much for giving up your friday evening and sharing your homes to allow us to film and the neighbours all seemed to enjoy the show going on!
“There’s a very fine line between a young person who is doing ok and a young person who isn’t and it could just pivot on 1 friend or 1 incident and start a downward spiral and it felt like Nightstop was able to interrupt that spiral.”

“They were very supportive and helped me a lot. They obviously made sure that I had somewhere to stay, and then kept checking in on me to make sure that it was going well with everything ”
